Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Partner with employees and various levels of management to communicate policies and information pertinent to the company.
- Establishes regular cadence of meetings with business units to identify business needs, analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Manage the daily operation of our HR Information Systems of your business group to include accurate system entry of employee data, leaves, wages and working hours.
- Administers employee benefits programs including annual open enrollment.
- Verifies accuracy and compliance to time and leave policies and acts as check and balance for accounting with the bi-weekly payroll.
- Ensure compliance with government requirements including USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility, ADA, COBRA, EEOC, ERISA and USERRA
- Recruit, hire, onboard and enroll new employees into the company to include the coordination activities with various departments and the employee/manager.
- Generate ad-hoc reports (for example, reports on turnover, hiring costs and benefits)
- Research vendors and implement new programs as needed
- Attends and participates in industry meetings to stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of human resource management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write communications for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and HRIS programs.
Certificates and Licenses:
Six Sigma Greenbelt, Compensation, SHRM, PHR or SPHR certification desirable.
