About This Position
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in generating new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting the company’s growth in the video surveillance and security industry. This position is responsible for prospecting, conducting product presentations, preparing detailed proposals, and ensuring all customer interactions are accurately documented in the CRM system. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional service while achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and qualify potential clients through outbound calls, emails, networking events, and referrals.
- Maintain a high level of daily outreach and communication with business-to-business prospects.
- Research target industries and businesses to understand needs and potential opportunities.
- Log and track all prospecting activity in the company’s CRM (Zoho CRM).
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Conduct professional, engaging product presentations and demonstrations online or in-person.
- Actively listen to customer concerns and tailor solutions to meet their business needs.
- Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the sales process to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Sales Process & Proposal Management
- Prepare detailed sales proposals, including accurate site maps, pricing, and solution overviews.
- Review and confirm all customer details, requirements, and expectations before finalizing proposals.
- Present and explain estimates clearly to customers, addressing all questions and concerns.
- Obtain necessary approvals and signatures to finalize agreements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate order processing and project handoff.
Documentation & CRM Management
- Enter and update all customer data, proposals, communications, and notes in Zoho CRM.
- Maintain organized digital records of quotes, correspondence, and account activity.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on leads, pipeline status, and closed deals.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with field technicians and project managers to ensure smooth transitions from sale to installation.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to stay current on product knowledge and industry trends.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and campaigns as directed by the Sales Manager.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B, technology, or security industries.
- Strong phone presence and proven ability to make multiple daily calls.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with G-Suite and CRM systems (Zoho preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in video surveillance, security systems, or low-voltage industries.
- Knowledge of networking or technical product sales.
- Prior experience building proposals or presenting to business clients.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, goal-driven office environment.
- Frequent communication with clients via phone, email, and video conference.
- Occasional travel for customer meetings or industry events.
