The Roof Depot, a leading provider of commercial roofing, siding gutters and more, is excited to offer this opportunity to a talented professional in the Orlando metro area. Local residence is preferred.

As a Project Manager at The Roof Depot, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing and managing a variety of commercial roofing projects from start to finish. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in commercial roofing or construction management who possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills—and who are passionate about delivering top-quality roofing solutions.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the effective management of the roofing employees, roof subcontractors, and roofing materials for proper installation of all roofing systems

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities, while insuring timely installation of all roofing systems

• Follow established procedures and approved processes

• Coordinate safety training programs for facilities, vehicles, forklifts, and equipment.

• Ensure that the collaboration between work departments is lucid and there are no communication gaps

• Oversee quality control. Appoint teams to analyze the quality of the products and installation, so that in the quest to reach targets, quality of the product and installation does not deteriorate

Required Leadership Skills

• Supervision experience, including employee hiring, training and development, and performance review and discipline

• A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate; team-player; ability to influence people and get results through others; results orientated

• Strong Safety acumen; experience with OSHA a plus

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, vendors, and clients

Required Skills/Competencies

• Must have knowledge of production scheduling, shop operations, and field installations

• This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently. Ability to think ahead, plan and prepare a 30-day action plans to achieve results

• Ability to analyze problem and formulate and execute a resolution

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications

• Must be familiar with product construction and application

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations; commitment to meet deadlines

• Will be computer literate, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications

• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

• 2-5 years Roofing Project Management

• 2-5 years of experience with TPO, EPDM, Shingle and Metal roofing systems, repairs, and installation

• Experience with construction/OSHA safety protocols

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to tolerate extreme heights

• Must be able to independently set-up and climb ladders

• Must be able to climb roofs of varying pitches and heights (flat to 8/12 pitch)

• Must be able to maneuver in small spaces

• Must be able to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs.

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditions

• Must be able to tolerate loud noise

Environmental/Other Requirements

• Ability to travel with possible overnight stays
