About This Position

Drafter

Job Title: Drafter
EVAPCO Inc. is an Employee-Owned manufacturing company with global resources and solutions for worldwide heat transfer applications headquartered in Taneytown, MD and has an immediate full-time opening for a 3D Drafter. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented person to join our team!
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Develops models and detailed design drawings according to written and verbal specifications
  • Consults with Engineers and Project Coordinators to resolve design problems
  • Ensures that dimensions of equipment are accurately reflected in all designs
  • Create a Bill of Materials based on 3D models
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or certification in Computer Drafting and Design Technology (or a related field) required
  • 2+ years of professional highly proficient 3D modeling experience required, such as Solid Edge or equivalent software.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple assignments/projects with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Must be able to balance working in a collaborative work environment with independently completing work tasks/projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment a plus
  • A working knowledge of Autodesk Revit BIM software a plus
