About the Position

The Boomi Integration Architect is responsible for defining, designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-grade integration solutions using the Boomi iPaaS platform. This role provides enterprise-wide technical leadership for integration architecture, establishes platform standards, and ensures scalable, secure, and reliable integrations across business-critical systems. The Architect owns the enterprise Boomi integration platform strategy and lifecycle, including architecture standards, reusable assets, governance frameworks, runtime strategy, and operational excellence practices. This role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, compliant integration solutions aligned with Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations.

Day in the Life

• Designs, architects, and implements enterprise integration solutions using Boomi in accordance with industry best practices and architectural standards.
• Defines and governs enterprise integration architecture, including reusable components, environment strategy, and standardized design patterns.
• Serves as the final technical authority for Boomi solution designs, integration pattern selection, and architectural decisions.
• Translates Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) into scalable integration architectures and detailed technical solution designs.
• Defines and implements integration patterns including API-led, event-driven, batch, file-based, and synchronous/asynchronous processing models.
• Designs and governs APIs using an API-as-a-Product approach, including lifecycle management, versioning, documentation standards, and deprecation strategies.
• Produces and maintains architecture artifacts such as integration diagrams, interface contracts, canonical mappings, and error-handling standards.
• Establishes and enforces enterprise integration governance, standards, and best practices across teams.
• Defines operational readiness standards including logging, monitoring, alerting, structured error handling, and resiliency patterns.
• Establishes integration SLAs/SLOs and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and lower MTTR.
• Defines Boomi runtime and deployment strategy, including Atom/Atom Cloud topology, environment separation, CI/CD integration, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Ensures all integrations complies with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
• Owns the enterprise Boomi platform roadmap, including strategy, optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Provides technical leadership and oversight to Boomi integration developers.
• Mentors developers, promotes reusable frameworks, and improves platform adoption and optimization.
• Participates in hiring, capability development, task coordination, and capacity planning for the integration team.
• Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
• Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.
• Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Boomi Professional Architect or related certifications preferred.
• 8+ years of IT experience, including enterprise application integration.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Boomi iPaaS.
• Proven experience in an Integration Architect, Technical Lead, or similar leadership role.
• Strong expertise in enterprise integration patterns, API design, data transformation, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (OAuth2, SSO, encryption, data privacy standards).
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Travel

• Occasional travel may be required.
