Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, the Material Handler is responsible for supporting production operations by moving materials, organizing components, preparing skids, and ensuring production areas are supplied with required parts in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Move materials between the V1504 area and feed heavy parts area with daily required parts.
- Repack and rearrange painted parts received from the paint shop onto carts and place them in their designated production areas.
- Close and drop tower assemblies onto skids to allow the rest of the production line to add additional components.
- Open new material boxes and place items in their designated storage or production areas.
- Cut wood and manage wood off cuts as required.
- Use tools such as a screw gun and air ratchet to assist with skid building and material preparation.
- Build skids to support production requirements.
- Ensure materials are properly organized, staged, and available to avoid production delays.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager from time to time.

- High School Diploma and one - three months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, other stakeholders.
- Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and use hands and fingers to handle materials.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Regular movement throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds with the assistance of another person. Assistance is available for weights exceeding individual lifting capability.
- Ability to handle wood materials, heavy parts, and production components safely.
