Sylva Valley Health & Rehab is looking for a sharp, organized, and highly responsive Travel Nursing Specialist to help support nursing coverage, coordinate staffing needs, and strengthen continuity of care in a skilled nursing environment.

This is not a routine floor role. This position is built for someone who understands nursing operations, can move quickly, solve problems, and help keep the building clinically supported when staffing needs shift.

When staffing is unstable, resident care feels it first. We need someone who can step into that gap—helping coordinate nursing support, maintain workflow, and bring consistency to the team.

• Assist leadership with shift coverage planning and staffing coordination

• Work closely with DON, ADON, and nurse leaders to identify urgent coverage priorities
• Help reduce disruptions caused by open shifts and short-notice staffing changes
• Maintain professionalism, urgency, and strong communication across departments
• Support a team-first culture focused on reliable care and accountability

• Nursing background strongly preferred
• Skilled nursing / long-term care experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Able to work with urgency and adapt in a fast-moving environment
• Dependable attendance and strong follow-through
• Experience with scheduling, staffing coordination, or clinical support is a plus
