About This Position
Job Title: Rehabilitation Services Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The RSM will be responsible for managing a team of rehabilitation professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the rehabilitation services department
- Manage and supervise a team of rehabilitation professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and excellent customer service
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation services and make recommendations for improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal regulations
- Manage the department budget and ensure financial performance goals are met
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of rehabilitation staff
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth and development
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rehabilitation services management
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare industry trends
- Strong financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and achieve financial goals
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Considerable physical activity:
- Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to fifty (50) or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
- Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
- Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
