Swing Shift Pack Lead at Vivasource Inc – Tacoma, Washington

Powder Coating Systems ( an independent powder coating company located in Tacoma, Washington) is presently seeking to hire a Swing Shift Packing Lead.

This is a full-time position. The shift for this position is from 1PM-9:30PM Monday through Friday.

The starting pay for this position is between $22-25 per hour. (Note: This is the starting wage for the majority of our Lead and Supervisory positions. The amount is set by the Owner of the company.)

After the initial ninety day starting period, we offer:

-six paid holidays a year.

-a monthly Production Based Sales Bonus that can be earned monthly, but paid quarterly.

This position is a leadership position. Employees in this position are responsible for:

-Determining jobs to get packed.

-Inspecting jobs to make sure they meet our quality standards.

-Packing parts with the team to ensure no damage to the coating or the part prior to customer pick up.

-Recording jobs completed on our tablets.

-Moving the completed jobs to the yard.

-Assisting the team in hanging, prepping and moving parts.

-When needed, running the shift when the Shift Supervisor is absent.

This is a fast-paced, physical position. Employees will be standing, stooping, ad bending most of the time. The best candidates for this position are driven, detail-oriented and have experience leading by example.

Interviews for this position will be set during our office hours.

The following are the minimum requirements for this position. Please do not apply if you can not fulfill these requirements:

-2-5 years leadership experience. (Preference in a shop/warehouse environment.)

-At least 2 years experience operating a forklift. (We do not require outside certification, but this position will need the ability to operate one.)

-A current driver's license. (This is required to operate our forklifts.)

-Possession if the necessary documents to satisfy an I-9. (We are required by the Federal Government to check documentation that 1.) establishes an employees identity and 2.) shows their authorization to work in the United States. We are not allowed to use copies of documents as proof.)

-The ability to lift fifty pounds unassisted. (We do have forklifts and an indoor crane and encourage the use of two-man lifts when necessary.)

-Reliable transportation to commute to Tacoma daily and be on time. (Although there is a Pierce Transit stop nearby, we require our employees to be on time consistently and they must remain for the entire shift, even if the bus doesn't run.)

-The ability to speak, read and understand English.

The following are helpful, but not required:

-experience in a powder coating/paint shop.

-experience using hand and air tools.

-experience using a tablet for job orders.
