We are currently seeking a qualified Strategic Sourcing Leader to join our team!
What are your responsibilities?
The Strategic Sourcing Lead will lead cost optimization, supply risk mitigation, supplier performance management and working capital improvement initiatives. This role owns addressable spend for parts and is accountable for delivering measurable financial and operational impact. This position plays a critical role in protecting revenue, strengthening supply assurance, cost savings and cash flow improvement.
What will you do?
- Deliver annual cost savings on parts spend.
- Identify, track and lead monthly reviews report out on cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives, including developing should-cost models to monitor variances.
- Secure 97% on-time delivery performance across Sales Orders.
- Increase dual and multi-sourcing ratio to reduce dependency on single-sourced suppliers.
- Expand supply coverage rate through contract coverage and dual-sourced suppliers.
- Maintain optimal safety stock coverage for high-risk parts to ensure supply continuity.
- Lead negotiation of long-term supply agreements (LTSA) to strengthen cost stability and secure supply.
- Lead consolidation of supplier base, optimizing spending while mitigating supply risk.
- Improve payment terms to free up cash flow.
- Drive procurement compliance, strengthen policies and safety standards.
- Identify and lead continuous improvements initiatives in sourcing and procurement processes, leveraging analytics and best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify parts substitutions and alternate sourcing opportunities to drive value and mitigate supplier risks.
- Standardize supplier qualifications and supplier onboarding process.
- Develop supplier performance dashboard, track KPIs and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers.
- Strengthened link between sourcing activities and inventory planning to support sales growth and ensure timely fulfillment of customer demand. Lead close collaboration.
- Partner with cross-functional team to align sourcing strategy with business objectives.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking and risk assessment to identify opportunities for innovation, cost optimization and supply chain resilience.

What do you need to qualify for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience, ideally with legacy industrial controls, electrical systems, turbine, or mechanical systems, preferably within aerospace, energy, or industrial services.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing high-value, long-lead-time parts and services, strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Suite and modern project management tools.
- Familiarity with engineering change management, part obsolescence, and risk assessment for legacy equipment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on sourcing execution capability.
- Ability to travel as required for supplier visits and project support, as needed.
