Overview
Manage business and administrative operations for the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development's Department of Art and Art Professions, encompassing a broad and highly complex variety of funding sources and staff to ensure effective and efficient office operations and the delivery of budgetary, financial, administrative and technical services. Manage preparation of financial reports and projects for department; develop departmental budgets, gift & grant accounts, manage and control expenditures. Act as administrative liaison with other School and University offices; interpret and apply University policies to plan and manage highly complex administrative matters.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree
Required Experience:
5+ years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, including managing administrative services/processes, budgets, grants, and staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years higher ed Setting
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent planning, management, networking, and presentation skills. Ability to negotiate solutions to contain problems and persuade others when some differences of opinion may exist. Proficiency with standard office software, especially Excel.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Individual must be able to manage multiple personalities and multi-task.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,500.00 to USD $97,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
