Provide administrative support across a portfolio of new development and construction projects. As a Project Coordinator, Development and Construction, you will support contract coordination, vendor management, and financial processes.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Development, you will collaborate across the development department to play a key role in ensuring projects are well documented, financially tracked and delivered according to expectations and timelines.
ResponsibilitiesProject and contract administration
- Manage project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and proper version control.
- Support the preparation, review and award of tenders.
- Coordinate the collection and review of construction documentation from contractors and consultants.
- Issue contracts and change orders in project systems, including Yardi.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files in SharePoint.
Financial coordination and reporting
- Assist in tracking project budgets, commitments and expenses.
- Review and process project-related accounts payable for accuracy and completeness.
- Support accrual processes in collaboration with the construction team.
- Act as a liaison with the accounting team on contract and payment-related matters.
Vendor and stakeholder coordination
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, ensuring all compliance documentation is complete and current.
- Support vendor management and procurement administration.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Project coordination and team support
- Work closely with construction team members to help ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Attend and support project meetings, both in-office and on-site, as required.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support across active projects.
- 1 -2 years of experience in development, construction, or property management; we are open to new graduates.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute as an effective member of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and high volumes of documentation while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with Yardi is an asset.
Allied determines individual compensation by work location and other factors, including relevant experience, education and internal equity.
