“Assistant Maintenance Tech”
Reports to: Maintenance Tech
Job Summary:
The assistant maintenance director is a full-time role and requires flexibility depending on business needs. Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of equipment, clogged drains, and fountain equipment including ice machines. Previous Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing experience a plus. Position requires the operation of a company vehicle. Must be a self-starter and be self-motivated to succeed. Even if you don't have experience with everything listed above, we will work with you to overcome the learning curve and become familiar with our operational expectations. Pay DOE
Duties:
- Maintains facilities by performing light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry repairs, and installations
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs
- Participate in training for existing and new equipment
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Always provides excellent customer service, greeting and thanking customers in your interaction with them on the property.
- Maintenance of interiors and exteriors, multiple buildings and properties.
- Must be available to respond to emergency site visits at any time.
- Completes work orders, performs scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- May assist in installation of new equipment.
- Works in a manner that always promotes job safety by taking all proper and necessary pre-cautions when using equipment, chemicals or otherwise as well as protecting employees and customers by implementing safety pre-cautions at work sites.
- Report to work on time and follow uniform policies, including wearing proper safety vests while working outside.
- Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use hand/electric cart, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, able to use a ladder, and must be able to lift 80 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and ability to work independently
- 3 years’ experience in the General Maintenance field preferred
- Requires driving a company vehicle
- Routinely ascending and descending ladders
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, be insurable
- Background and MVR check.
