JOB RELATIONSHIPS

• Clinical Nurse Director and/or Charge Nurse/Staff Nurse

DEFINITION OF POSITION

• The Certified Nurse Aide I is responsible for administering direct patient care in a courteous, caring manner, and performing any other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care, under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide I interacts with unit staff members, patients, patient's family members, and other departments to ensure the comfort and safety for all patients on the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • Registration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation, Healthcare Personnel Registry as a Nurse Aide I.

  • Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
