Admissions Counselor

Are you passionate about helping students find their path in healthcare? The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville's Education & Training Center is seeking a motivated and personable Admissions Counselor to join our team and serve as a dedicated advocate for prospective students pursuing careers in nursing, dental hygiene, and more.

In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you will be the face of our healthcare programs — connecting with prospective students at high school visits, college fairs, and campus events, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting them from their first inquiry all the way to enrollment. You will also play a key role in shaping our recruitment marketing efforts through publications, email campaigns, and community outreach.

What You'll Do:

  • Recruit and represent Pitt Titusville's programs at local and regional events

  • Manage the full admissions cycle including application review, student interviews, and acceptance decisions

  • Coordinate campus tours, open houses, and decision day events

  • Develop and execute recruitment communications and marketing materials

  • Lead group presentations about programs and college preparations

Job Summary

Represents the University in new student recruitment and participates in the evaluation of applicants. Participates in recruitment activities and projects, both in and out of state.


Essential Functions

Lead multi-program recruitment initiatives for Pitt Titusville Nursing, Pre-Dental Hygiene, and MAC programs by representing programs at high school visits, college fairs, and healthcare facility events; respond to and cultivate prospective student inquiries throughout the enrollment funnel.

Support recruitment marketing and communications by coordinating the development and update of Pitt Titusville Nursing recruitment publications in collaboration with designers and printers; plan, create, and execute targeted mailing and email campaigns; and facilitate the procurement of promotional and branding materials.

Manage the admissions process for Nursing and Pre-Dental Hygiene programs by reviewing applications, conducting student interviews, and making admission decisions; issue acceptance letters and provide ongoing check-ins with accepted and matriculating students to ensure a seamless transition to their respective department contacts.

Support campus outreach and recruitment events by attending and presenting at open houses, decision days, and ETC events; scheduling and conducting individual and group on-campus tours for prospective students in healthcare majors and special interest groups; and serving as a knowledgeable resource for basic financial aid inquiries.


Physical Effort

The individual will lift boxes of brochures and display materials from car to college fair booths and setup, reports, reams of paper, filing boxes, up to approximately 50 pounds. Extensive driving is required. It will be necessary for incumbent to stand for several consecutive hours at presentations and college fairs. This individual must be able to traverse stairs and lead tours of the campus. The position will also require walking to lead campus tours and to visit all departments on campus, climbing and descending stairs.
