Dining Room Host/Hostess

Job Summary

The Dining Room Host is the first and last point of contact for members and guests, responsible for delivering a warm, polished, and professional welcome in a fine dining environment. This role ensures seamless guest flow, manages reservations with precision, and upholds the restaurant’s high standards of hospitality and presentation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • CREATES WOW by anticipating needs and wants, being prepared, being continuously enthusiastic, executing flawlessly and doing it now
  • Greets the members by name
  • Updates the menus for the current shift
  • Maintains host stand and front of the house display areas to project a clean and attractive image
  • Schedules dining reservations and notifies manager and servers of any special requests
  • Assigns table sections to servers
  • Coordinates the activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to members
  • Greets members by name, escorts them to the table and provides menus
  • Takes, relays and serves To-Go orders
  • Reports any concerns or complaints to the Dining Room Manager.
  • Maintains overall restaurant readiness, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Total receipts at the end of the shift, verifies and records sales information and turns in the day’s receipts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Frequent interaction with members and guests

Schedule

  • Tuesday to Sunday, lunch and dinner (split shift) depending on business.
  • Full time - 40 hours weekly
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Pay

$14 hourly

Requirements:

  • TABC and Food Safety Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must possess honesty and integrity

  • Ability to appear for work on time and follow schedule
  • Ability to interact well with co workers, members and guests
  • Ability to understand and follow posted rules and procedures

Education and Experience

  • Upscale Restaurant Host experience preferred
