This role is a high-impact position responsible for driving growth, revenue, and customer satisfaction within a portfolio of strategic accounts. You will act as the primary point of contact for key customers, building strong relationships with executives and decision-makers while identifying opportunities to expand business. The position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and industry standards. You will manage complex account plans, oversee contract negotiations, and proactively address customer concerns to ensure long-term retention. The role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to translate customer insights into actionable growth initiatives. Travel and on-site engagement with customers will be required to maximize relationship-building and business impact.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with customer objectives and organizational strategy
- Drive revenue growth within assigned accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new opportunities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager, building trust and long-term partnerships with key decision-makers
- Act as the escalation point for customer issues, scope changes, and quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution
- Maintain deep knowledge of customer roadmaps, industry trends, and competitive landscape to propose strategic solutions
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing strategies to optimize profitability while remaining competitive
- Partner with internal teams (Portfolio Management, R&D, Operations, Marketing) to deliver customized solutions and ensure seamless execution
- Monitor account performance, maintain accurate forecasts, and update CRM systems to ensure transparency and alignment
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; MBA preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in account management, preferably within the medical device or technology industries
- Proven track record managing strategic OEM accounts or serving as a supplier to major customers
- Strong understanding of product design, development, and clinical or technical applications relevant to the industry
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships and multi-functional engagement
- Deep knowledge of market dynamics with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable growth strategies
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel
- Competitive base salary ($150,000–$200,000, depending on experience) with eligibility for a 30% target bonus
