Position OverviewEmerging Tech is seeking a Knowledge Management Lead to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
This role will lead the development, governance, and optimization of knowledge management systems supporting end-user engagement and adoption (EUEA). The ideal candidate brings experience supporting federal healthcare IT programs and has strong expertise in SharePoint-based knowledge environments, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Lead development and maintenance of EUEA knowledge management platforms, including SharePoint sites and information portals
- Oversee governance, structure, and quality of document repositories to ensure compliance and usability
- Manage and guide teams responsible for organizing and maintaining SharePoint content and files
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including change management, training, communications, and analytics
- Ensure alignment with program management office (PMO) standards and knowledge management best practices
- Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and dashboards for leadership
- Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure knowledge management processes align with EHRM program objectives and user adoption goals
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- Experience managing IT-related projects
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle and project management methodologies
- Experience tracking cost, schedule, and performance metrics
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related discipline
- OR additional 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or similar federal healthcare environments
- Experience with Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) programs
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint (site management, governance, content organization)
- Knowledge management and content governance experience
- Experience supporting large-scale IT transformation or healthcare IT programs (e.g., Oracle Cerner)
- 100% Remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
- Salary range: $110,000 – $125,000 annually
