Position SummaryThe Director of Dining Services provides both strategic and day-to-day leadership for all dining operations, including kitchen, dining rooms, café, and catering. This role ensures exceptional food quality, outstanding service, and full regulatory compliance while fostering a warm, mission-centered culture that supports residents, team members, and the broader community
What You’ll Do- Lead, coach, and support Dining Services supervisors and team members
- Ensure a high-quality, enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests
- Develop and manage budgets, purchasing, and inventory
- Monitor financial performance and operational efficiency
- Maintain compliance with all food safety and regulatory standards
- Lead quality assurance efforts and continuous improvement initiatives
- Engage with residents and encourage meaningful dining experiences and events
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care
- Oversee hiring, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate catering and special events
- Strong leadership skills with a heart for service
- Ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Hospitality, or Culinary Management preferred
- High school diploma required
- CDM/CFPP (or ability to obtain if required)
- Minimum of three (3) years of food service management experience preferred
