About This Position
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
MOBIS North America produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers, including component modules (chassis, cockpit, and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamps, ICS/electronics, and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.
PURPOSE:
The Supplemental Team Member is responsible for participating in the assembly of quality products with minimal cost for scrap and re-work and with minimal delay by the use of tools, inspection of product, knowledge of the product and processes, and sound judgment. The Supplemental Team Member is also responsible for carrying out their responsibilities while maintaining required safety and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:
- Works as a Team Member in a joint effort to maintain safety, improve quality and productivity.
- Performs assigned job tasks at a level which will maintain an orderly flow of product throughout the manufacturing process.
- Each Team Member is required to have the ability to work every workstation they have been trained on without safety and quality issues and have the ability to keep up with cycle time.
- Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Production Supervisor.
PLANNED WORKING SCHEDULE:
- All shifts report Monday through Friday, adding Saturday and Sundays as needed.
- Day shift runs from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm.
- Overtime may be scheduled if required by our customer.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or equivalent (GED). Some college preferred, and at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing automotive environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty (20) lbs and a max of (50) lbs. Must possess knowledge and experience in the proper use of fastening hand tools such as torque wrenches, nut runners, etc. Ability to understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Automotive Quality Requirements. Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Above average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires frequent moderate physical activity including standing for 8-12 hour shifts, consistent pacing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, and lifting materials up to 20-50 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves and safety glasses is required. Possible requirement of safety vest, steel-toe shoes, and ear protection depending on workstation assignment.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- A typical work week is 40 hours/week.
- Overtime may be scheduled as required to meet the needs of our customer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Normal work is conducted in a large, high-energy manufacturing facility in a team environment.
- High noise levels and movement.
- Shop or laboratory work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions.
- Stress may occur periodically.
