What You’ll DoTeam Leadership & Training- Provide training, guidance, and day-to-day support to Medical Assistants and clinical staff.
- Lead by example by maintaining strong knowledge of clinical workflows, procedures, and patient care standards.
- Assist with onboarding and cross-training of new team members.
- Support leadership with performance feedback, coaching, and development plans.
- Perform core Medical Assistant duties, including:
- Rooming patients and preparing exam rooms
- Taking and recording vital signs and medical histories
- Administering injections and assisting with procedures
- Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection (if applicable)
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
- Support providers to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Help oversee daily clinic operations to maintain smooth patient flow.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize disruptions in care delivery.
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered service at every touchpoint.
- Address patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Communicate clearly with patients in person and over the phone.
- Foster a welcoming and respectful environment for all patients.
- Support clinic leadership in maintaining high standards of clinical quality and operational performance.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and patient care procedures.
- Experience with Athena EHR and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a lead or senior Medical Assistant/Practice Manager role or 6+ years in a Medical Assistant role..
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in primary care or outpatient clinic settings.
