Job Description
The painter position is responsible for all aspects of painting cabinets with custom colors personalized to customer’s requirements. This includes prepping, priming, sanding, painting, packaging/repackaging cabinets, and all other duties required to complete the painting process in a safe and responsible manner.
Responsibilities
- Packaging/Repackaging components after painting is complete.
- Priming, Sanding, Painting, Curing cabinet components in a clean and organized manner. ·
- Completing orders in the timeframe provided to ensure we stay up to date with the paint schedule and the shipping schedule.
- Disposing of materials in the correct manner abiding by OSHA regulations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and cleaning up all materials at end of shift. · Communicating with correct parties when issues arise.
- Communicating with departments when orders are complete.
- Maintain and cleaning tools thoroughly after use.
- Ensuring all materials are stored and used in a manner that follows OSHA Hazardous Materials Standards.
- Using safe practices while painting including the usage of approved PPE
Qualifications
- Must be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- A driven, hard-working individual with a team-oriented mindset
- Experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- 2+ years of painting cabinets or similar experience
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. repetitively and up to 140 lbs. with assistance
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of machines and tools.
