We are seeking a highly motivated Sales & Marketing Summer Intern to support our business development and marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in agency sales, marketing strategy, and client engagement. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to help identify new opportunities, support client outreach, and contribute to marketing initiatives that drive real business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Support the planning, development, and execution of business proposals, RFPs (Requests for Proposals), case studies, and other new business materials
  • Organize and maintain the company's library of proposal decks and case studies using InDesign and Dropbox
  • Research and identify prospective clients across key industries (nonprofit, healthcare, sports, education, consumer brands)
  • Assist in building targeted prospect lists and outreach strategies
  • Collaborate with internal team members to gather content, data, and visuals needed for new business submissions
  • Help track proposal status, deadlines, and follow-up communications
  • Help coordinate and prepare for client meetings and presentations
  • Assist with additional marketing, sales, and business development tasks as needed

Marketing & Strategy Support

  • Assist in developing go-to-market strategies and campaign ideas
  • Conduct competitive and market research to inform client recommendations
  • Support content development (email campaigns, social media, thought leadership)
  • Help analyze performance data and summarize insights

Agency Exposure & Learning

  • Collaborate with internal teams across brand, creative, digital, PR, and paid media
  • Participate in internal brainstorming sessions and client strategy discussions
  • Gain exposure to full-cycle agency sales—from prospecting to proposal development

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a B.S./B.A. in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or a strong willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with CRM tool is a plus
  • A proactive, team-player attitude with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) Dropbox or similar file management platforms
  • Interest in Sales, Marketing, and client-facing work

Location: JDA Worldwide, Downtown Indianapolis – 135 N Pennsylvania St. 25th Floor

Duration: 10 weeks: June 8th – August 13th

Hybrid Schedule: Interns are expected to report to the office every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9am-3pm for the duration of the internship. Work outside the office is also expected to complete projects on time.
