Part Time Operating & Facilities Maintenance Technician at Milwaukee Repertory Theater – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Position Summary:

The Part Time Operating & Facilities Maintenance Technician will play an integral role in the behind the scenes workings of an active LORT regional theater. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this part-time position will assist in the day-to-day facility and maintenance operations of the organization.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Basic mechanical duties including minor repairs
• Facility maintenance
• Snow shoveling and grounds upkeep
• Operating building automation systems
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Have availability to work a schedule during typical work hours, some evenings and/or weekends; Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Basic mechanical and computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner and apply newly learned skills quickly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to the duration of a shift
• Ability to lift 50 pounds (unassisted) as well as work on ladders
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle, preferred
