About This Position
The Senior Technical Project Manager (TPM) will play a critical role in AD’s strategic initiatives and operational excellence by leading and supporting both business and technology-driven projects. The TPM works closely with AD leaders, senior management, and executive sponsors to manage initiatives that range from operational process improvements to technical system implementations, including supporting merger and acquisition (M&A) integration efforts. This position provides leadership, organization, and coordination, ensuring timely execution of deliverables, effective risk management, and seamless alignment across stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Project & Technical Operations Management
- Ability to support or lead merger and acquisition (M&A) project initiatives, leveraging experience in managing complex, cross-functional integration efforts from planning through execution.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, budgets, metrics, and deliverables across both operational and technology-focused initiatives.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and risks, escalating as necessary for resolution.
- Provide hands-on support throughout project lifecycles, including testing, rollout, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business process requirements.Maintain accurate and timely project documentation.
2. Business & Technology Planning Support
- Track decisions, action items, and metrics through dashboards and Smartsheet reporting.
- Support preparation of project-related materials for meetings, leadership reviews, and Executive Committee updates.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align projects with AD’s internal operating plan and corporate milestones.
3. Process & Technology Improvements
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations or Director of Technology & Enablement to identify and implement process and technical improvements.
- Document and standardize new operational and technical procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in systems, workflows, and reporting.
4. Change Management & Training
- Define and document process and technology changes, including roles, responsibilities, and skill requirements.
- Develop and execute communication and training plans for both operational and technical rollouts.
- Ensure adoption of new systems and processes by engaging stakeholders at all levels.
5. Project Acceptance & Governance
- Define testing criteria, develop test plans, and oversee validation of new systems and processes.
- Ensure consistent application of best practice project management methodologies.
- Facilitate lessons-learned reviews and project close-out activities.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong facilitation skills, including preparation, leadership of meetings, and capture of action items.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, MS Office, Zoom, Visio, Jira or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, leading diverse groups toward shared outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations, technology, or related field.
- Project Management Institute Certification required (PMP and/or PgMP).
- 5–8 years of experience managing significant technical and/or process projects.
- Experience supporting merger and acquisition (M&A) initiatives, including integration planning and execution, preferred.
- Documented experience in requirements gathering, process redesign, and system implementation.
- Experience managing large-scale technical and operational projects in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in Smartsheet-WMS (Workflow Management System), including project scheduling, reporting, dashboards, and use of connectors for data integration.
Additional Comments:
- Position is based in Wayne, PA, on a hybrid schedule of Monday’s & Friday’s remote, and Tuesday through Thursday in-office.
- Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required (before and after standard business hours).
- Travel: Potential travel up to 10 days/year.
