You will oversee month-end close activities, international consolidation, and complex accounting areas such as variable compensation, prepaid expenses, and internally developed software. You will serve as a key contributor to process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial reporting accuracy. Accountabilities

Lead month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and key P&L and balance sheet accounts.
Support international consolidation efforts, including local book reviews, topside entries, and foreign currency adjustments.
Manage accounting for variable compensation plans, including capitalization of commissions under ASC 340-40 and ongoing amortization schedules.
Oversee prepaid and other deferral accounting, ensuring proper capitalization versus expense treatment of contracts and invoices.
Support accounting for internally developed software, collaborating with Engineering to track qualifying costs and maintain related schedules.
Partner with FP&A, Payroll, Revenue Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights.
Prepare audit-ready documentation and act as a primary contact for external auditors.
Drive process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance accounting efficiency and controls.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
46 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or high-growth companies.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including international consolidation, deferred revenue, and capitalization policies.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite; familiarity with Zip is a plus.
Prior Big 4 or public accounting experience is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote-first environment.
