Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field or the equivalent is required. In addition, a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience is required. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Quality CMM Technician for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that all machined parts meet stringent quality and precision standards. This role requires a strong understanding of metrology, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). The Quality CMM Technician performs overall quality inspection for machined parts to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards for the manufacture of Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and are hardened for the battlefield environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate CMM equipment to perform precise measurements of machined partsProgram CMM machines using appropriate software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to determine measurement requirementsConduct first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to verify product complianceDocument and report inspection results, including any deviations or non-conformancesCollaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve quality issuesMaintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliabilityAssist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standardsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiencyEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)Strong understanding of metrology, engineering drawings, and GD&TExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and documentation skillsKnowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards is a plus Our Commitment to You:An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning a developmentResearch oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule) Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health and wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more See more at com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits Workplace Options:This position is fully on-site.
