Registered Nurse (RN) GYN/Antepartum - Full-time

Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

• The Women's Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, and Maternal Level IV designated facility

Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45AM-7:15PM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements

GYN/Antepartum Department highlights:

• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

• Women's Services (GYN/Antepartum) 27-bed unit combining GYN, High Risk Antepartum, Breast surgery and Postpartum patients

• Provide care to GYN, post-surgical patients - variety of surgeries to include hysterectomies, breast surgeries; Postpartum (NICU moms), and Antepartum patients (all gestation levels)

Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Nursing Diploma required

• BSN is preferred

• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

• One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.

• One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women's Services RN experience strongly preferred

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

• Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience is preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient

• Plans the care of the patient

• Intervenes as appropriate

• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
