JOB SUMMARY:
The Center Manager supports the Operations Administrator in overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the surgery center. This role assists with supervising front office and administrative staff, monitoring workflows, supporting financial and operational processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The Center Manager serves as a working supervisor within the center, helping ensure efficient operations, high-quality patient care, and a positive patient and staff experience.
ALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a surgical or ambulatory care setting.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, patient registration, billing workflows, and medical records processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with EHR and practice management systems preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in supervising daily operations and front office teams at the surgery center.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, evaluating employees, and directing work.
- Ensures compliance with licensing, state, and federal regulations.
- Serves as acting Administrator in the absence of the Operations Administrator as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Oversight:
- Assist in managing daily administrative operations, including scheduling, patient registration, billing, and medical records management.
- Support the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational best practices.
- Assist in preparing monthly KPI and operational reports.
Financial Management:
- Assist with expense tracking, purchasing, inventory management, and invoice review.
- Support revenue cycle processes and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate supply ordering and vendor communications.
Staff Management and Development:
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision of administrative staff.
- Support performance evaluations, coaching, and development initiatives.
- Assist with timecard review, PTO approvals, and payroll preparation.
Facility Operations:
- Monitor facility condition, safety, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping to address operational needs.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Assist with quality assurance programs and compliance monitoring.
- Support survey readiness and regulatory inspections.
Patient Experience:
- Monitor patient flow and appointment coordination to reduce delays and cancellations.
- Support patient satisfaction initiatives and address patient concerns as needed.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and procurement activities.
- Support communications with physicians, clinical teams, and operational partners.
