Envision Benefits Group is proud to partner with a well-established health care organization in Western New York to identify a skilled and compassionate Workers’ Compensation Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity. We’re looking for a Workers’ Compensation Specialist who can bring both expertise and empathy to the employee experience, helping guide individuals from injury through recovery and back to work with confidence.
What You'll Do
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full workers’ compensation lifecycle, acting as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership.
• Guide employees and managers through workers’ compensation, leave laws, and disability benefits
• Manage the return-to-work process, including transitional duty assignments
• File and manage First Reports of Injury accurately and on time
• Coordinate communication between injured employees, medical providers, and third-party vendors
• Track and document claims within workers’ compensation systems
• Conduct regular follow-ups with employees during recovery
• Partner with vendors, including attending quarterly claim reviews
• Coordinate investigations when needed, including site visits and documentation
• Recommend updates to leave policies to ensure ongoing legal compliance

Requirements:What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, and confident navigating complex situations.
• Associate’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in HR, claims management, case management, or a similar field
• Working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, ADA, and related regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Experience with benefits or claims platforms is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Office-based role with occasional travel
• Light work, which may require exertion of up to 30 lbs. occasionally
