Accountabilities:

As Manager, Quality Engineering, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
  • Define and execute the automation strategy, including tools, frameworks, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams throughout the automation lifecycle—from requirements through iterative testing and deployment.
  • Promote continuous improvement by analyzing problems, recommending solutions, and driving measurable enhancements.
  • Champion DevOps practices, including CI/CD and full automation, across product development teams.
  • Establish and monitor metrics that demonstrate team performance, business impact, and progress toward goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Development, Operations, and Release Management to optimize productivity and software quality.
Requirements:

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 6+ years of experience in software development or quality engineering.
  • Proven technical leadership in QA, including managing teams and guiding automation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with UI automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, or similar) and API testing (SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar).
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, Bamboo, or similar).
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, SOA best practices, and Agile SDLC frameworks (Scrum, XP, Lean, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented languages (Java, C#, C++ or similar) and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering practices and deliver high-quality results.
