About This Position

Compensation: $23-$27

This position supports the effective management and coordination of people, activities, and resources to ensure the successful operation of the property. The Assistant Community Manager works closely with the Community Manager to support daily property operations, leasing efforts, and resident relations to deliver best-in-class service and property performance. The Assistant Community Manager also develops and coaches team members, manages escalated issues, and partners with leadership to implement strategies that enhance both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports all core business processes, including leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance coordination, and vendor communication
  • Assists the Community Manager and Portfolio Manager in achieving leasing and renewal goals
  • Helps implement strategies and action plans to align property performance with company goals
  • Provides excellent customer service to residents, prospects, and team members
  • Assists with community administrative tasks and reporting; partners with accounting department to support accurate financial reporting
  • Supports efforts to maintain property cleanliness and curb appeal
  • Assists with delinquency management and collections, including resident follow-up and coordination with leadership
  • Manages mid-lease changes, including processing transfers, roommate changes, and lease modifications
  • Coordinates and oversees move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth and positive resident experience
  • Ensures adherence to Fair Housing and Employment laws and company policies
  • Assists with team initiatives, programs, and day-to-day operations
  • Supports onboarding and training of new employees
  • Follows all risk management and safety protocols
  • Assists with resident communications, notices, and general inquiries
  • Completes additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Community Manager or Portfolio Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
