Landscape Construction Project Supervisor at The Greenery Inc – North Charleston, South Carolina

Job Summary

Oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of landscape construction, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, materials, and client expectations. Project Supervisors directly report to the Construction Project Managers.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of job site safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Supervise day-to-day operations on assigned landscape construction and installation projects.
• Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained and used in proper manner per Greenery and industry standards.
• Assist the coordination and lead construction crews, ensuring efficient work practices and safety compliance.
• Interpret landscape plans, drawings, and specifications to guide implementation.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; report progress to Project Managers.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets design standards and client satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and resolve problems to avoid project delays.
• Maintain detailed records of job progress, incidents, and daily reports.
• Enforce company policies and OSHA safety standards on-site.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong knowledge of landscape installation practices (hardscape, softscape, irrigation, grading, etc.).
• Knowledge of local plant materials and horticulture best practices is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans and technical drawings.
• Excellent leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s license a CDL is preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred

Education and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in landscape construction or a related supervisory role.
• Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience

Physical Requirements

• Outdoor work environment in varying weather conditions.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs and working with tools or machinery.
• Exposure to machinery, dirt, and dust
• Travel to multiple job sites within the region.
• May require travel to outside locations and overnight stays
