- Lead the implementation of EPR programs in Maine, overseeing contracts, budgets, and strategic partnerships to ensure successful delivery
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all program requirements and performance metrics
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to manage producer registration, reporting, and fee collection processes efficiently
- Support the creation of tools and guidance materials to help stakeholders understand program obligations and expectations
- Engage with local communities, governments, and industry stakeholders to drive participation and collaboration
- Monitor program performance, manage reporting obligations, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Contribute to regional program planning by tracking policy developments, conducting analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program management, waste management, or related industries
- Strong expertise in contract and budget management, including performance tracking and reporting
- Proven ability to manage complex programs and navigate regulatory environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders including government agencies
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and adapt quickly to evolving program needs
