The Director Analyst - SAP Licensing will provide expert guidance to senior IT, sourcing, and procurement leaders on optimizing SAP licensing and software asset management. This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic insight, helping clients navigate complex contracts, commercial programs, and compliance requirements. You will research and publish actionable insights, deliver presentations, and engage directly with executives to influence decision-making. Operating in a global, intellectually stimulating environment, you will shape thought leadership on SAP licensing trends, emerging technologies, and digital transformation impacts. The position offers exposure to high-level stakeholders and opportunities to develop innovative solutions that drive measurable business outcomes across multiple regions.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on SAP licensing, pricing models, contract structures, and emerging trends in software and cloud services.
- Develop actionable insights, thought leadership content, and “must-have” research materials for senior IT, procurement, and vendor management audiences.
- Advise clients on SAP licensing strategy, contract negotiations, risk assessment, and cost optimization, delivering tailored recommendations.
- Engage with clients via presentations, teleconferences, meetings, and events to address complex licensing challenges and improve outcomes.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge-sharing, innovation, and research process improvements.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency in research methodology, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor and anticipate market shifts, emerging technologies, and vendor strategies to maintain a forward-looking perspective.
- Extensive expertise in SAP licensing, including negotiation, contract management, and emerging trends in software and cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of the global SAP ecosystem, resellers, and competitive landscape.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SaaS/cloud contract negotiations, technology procurement, vendor management, or software asset management.
- Proven track record delivering high-quality research, publications, or advisory content to senior-level stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation delivery.
- Analytical mindset with strong business and financial acumen; able to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with other major software vendors and cloud providers (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Oracle, ServiceNow) is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, global environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
