The Associate Director, Compensation will lead the design, implementation, and management of global compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business strategy and market competitiveness. This role oversees the annual compensation cycle, market benchmarking, and incentive programs while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to maintain internal equity and compliance across geographies. The position requires translating complex data into actionable insights to guide pay decisions and talent strategy. You will provide coaching and guidance to HR business partners and contribute to the continuous evolution of compensation frameworks. This role is highly collaborative, data-driven, and strategic, offering the opportunity to shape reward programs that drive engagement, performance, and business outcomes.
- Manage the execution and administration of global job and compensation frameworks, ensuring alignment with Total Rewards strategy
- Oversee the annual compensation cycle, including guidelines, ranges, calibration, and market benchmarking
- Provide data analytics and insights to support pay positioning, incentive programs, and compliance across geographies
- Advise senior leadership and HR business partners on compensation matters, translating data into actionable recommendations
- Evaluate job descriptions and participate in salary surveys to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
- Ensure HR systems support compensation priorities, maintaining data integrity and accurate reporting
- Lead or contribute to Total Rewards and HR projects, supporting both U.S. and global compensation initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years of experience in global compensation within mature international organizations
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or related industries preferred
- Proficiency with market pricing, survey methodology, salary structures, regression analysis, and data modeling
- Experience with incentive plans, sales plans, and global regulatory compliance for compensation
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including influencing without authority
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, develop and implement compensation frameworks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP/SuccessFactors, or PayFactors
