This role plays a critical part in supporting large-scale defense logistics operations by ensuring the effective execution and oversight of distribution activities for global military supply chains. You will act as a key operational leader, assisting in managing daily contract performance, coordinating personnel, and ensuring compliance with strict government requirements. The position supports mission-critical logistics functions such as receipt, storage, packaging, issue, and worldwide transportation of materials. Working closely with program leadership, you will help maintain operational efficiency, cost control, and service quality across complex distribution workflows. This is a highly responsible role requiring strong coordination skills, adaptability, and readiness to support rapid global deployments when needed. You will serve as a secondary leadership point of contact, ensuring continuity of operations in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Assist in managing daily execution of contract operations, ensuring performance, compliance, and reporting standards are consistently met
- Serve as primary point of contact for government stakeholders in the absence of the Distribution Project Manager
- Support oversight of personnel scheduling, workflow coordination, subcontractor management, and quality control processes
- Monitor financial performance including budgeting, cost tracking, and operating expense reporting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procedures aimed at improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Provide administrative and operational support including tracking, reporting, procurement, and documentation tasks
- Ensure readiness for rapid global deployment in support of emerging mission requirements
- Active Secret government security clearance is mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and at least 5 years of relevant experience in government or private sector roles
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or contingency operations supporting Defense Logistics Agency or similar environments
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in government contracting
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, distribution systems, and operational planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard business reporting tools
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and U.S. passport
