The Jewish Community Center is seeking an organized, compassionate, and experienced leader to direct our Early Learning Center. The Director will oversee daily operations, staff management, family engagement, licensing compliance, budgeting, and program development while creating a warm and supportive environment for children, families, and staff.
Responsibilites include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise and manage all Early Learning Center operations and staff
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff
- Foster a welcoming environment where children and families are treated with dignity and respect
- Ensure compliance with Ohio licensing, OCCRRA, and Step Up to Quality requirements
- Oversee budgets, scheduling, staffing, and program planning
- Monitor curriculum implementation, student transitions, and required assessments
- Coordinate staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
- Coordinate with marketing and facilities staff to support enrollment, maintain welcoming learning environments, and assist with community engagement activities including weekly Shabbat programming
- Build relationships with community organizations and partners to enhance programming and enrichment opportunities
- Maintain strong communication with families, staff, and community partners
- Support the mission and values of the Jewish Community Center
- Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's Degree in related fields required. Must have three or more years of experience teaching and/or leading in an educational setting. Must possess strong leadership skills (good organization, ability to problem solve, think creatively, and manage multiple projects at once). Ability to discuss sensitive and confidential information with parents and staff. Candidates must be able to pass an FBI/BCI background check and drug screen. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children ages six weeks and up and have a high level of interpersonal communication skills.
