General Accountant at General Investment LLC – San Juan, Puerto Rico

Job Overview:

We are seeking a General Accountant to perform accounting and tax compliance functions across multiple corporate entities. This role involves financial record management, tax reporting, audit support, and collaboration within the Finance team to ensure accurate and reliable financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file quarterly and annual 480's forms and other regulatory filings.
• Manage submissions through government platforms (e.g., SURI) and coordinate filings with relevant agencies.
• Perform financial data analysis and reconciliations.
• Support monthly closing processes and maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitor and update operational financial reports (e.g., rental income and related records).
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Handle administrative processes such as certifications, filings, and service payments.
• Provide general support to the Finance Department.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting functions.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting programs; GP preferred or related systems.
• High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
