About This Position
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and restaurant management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in the kitchen. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef in daily operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
- Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
- Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
- Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
- Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
- Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
- Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
- Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef

Requirements:Experience
- Must have at least 2 years of Sous Chef experience.
- Club or Hotel experience preferred.
- Must be able to work weekends/holidays, etc.
- Positive team player.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Familiarity with banquet service operations is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
