We are looking for a Vendor Relations Manager (VRM) to join our team! The VRM is responsible for partnering with our Marketplace vendors to expand reward exposure, drive incremental revenue, and deliver the best redemption experience for our members, worldwide. This role plays a key role in supporting the selection and optimization of locally relevant rewards in our catalog, monitoring vendor performance, and improving upon price targets for assigned vendor accounts. Working collaboratively within a global, matrixed, and fast-paced environment to deliver successful outcomes, strong communication and organization skills are essential to this role.
Vendor Management:
- Portfolio Management: Effectively manage a diverse vendor portfolio, inclusive of EMEA Merchandises and Gift Cards partners, spanning varying countries, technologies, and business sizes.
- Relationship Development: Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing any operational issues promptly.
- Payment: Collaborate with Finance to ensure payment to vendors are accurate and done within a timely matter to ensure continuous operations.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure alignment and adherence of vendor contracts with evolving business needs, contracted commitments, operational objectives, and industry standards.
- Initiative Management: Manage initiatives including efficiency improvements, escalations, performance metrics, growth opportunities, platform changes or promotion opportunities.
- Contract Negotiation: Manage contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring favourable terms for Achievers.
Performance Monitoring and Data Analysis:
- Performance Tracking: Regularly track and report on vendor performance metrics against commits, benchmarks, and goals for leadership and other key stakeholders. Support the development and implementation of vendor performance improvement plans.
- Data Analysis: Effectively leverage data tools and reporting to analyze, interpret, and deliver key details to stakeholders.
- Margin Optimization: Identify opportunities for margin improvements and optimize product pricing and margin via negotiations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify performance issues, analyze opportunities, and collaborate with vendors to implement corrective actions efficiently.
Strategic Product Selection:
- Product Selection: Collaborate with Merchandising to monitor product popularity and performance metrics. Identify top-performing products to guide product selection and ensure a competitive and appealing product catalog.
- Product Expansion: Work closely with vendors to introduce new and trending products, ensuring timely availability and alignment with market demands.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner, collaborate, and communicate across cross-departmental stakeholders to manage needs, ensure alignment, and set up teams for success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate strong partnerships with teams including Fulfillment, Promotions, Merchandising, Vendor Partnerships, Customer Success, Finance, Support Operations, Legal, and Development teams to ensure cohesive vendor operations.
- Customer Mindset: Lead with a solution-oriented customer mindset to capture, action, and effectively support customer needs and/or requests to enhance their experience.
- Product Innovation: Identify and surface unique product or operational opportunities available via vendors with Product, Development, or Marketplace teams.
- 3 to 5 years of Vendor Management/eCommerce experience
- Experience with tracking vendor performance against KPIs
- Ability to effectively negotiate with key stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical skills to solve ambiguous problems and develop insights from large data sets
- Self-starter; acts with a sense of urgency, proven results and solution-oriented
- Evidence of effective time management and prioritization against business needs
- Proficiency with CRMs such as Salesforce an asset
- Experience with using analytical tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Tableau) an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Fluency in Spanish an asset

$68,000 - $78,500 reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on current market data. The final offer will depend on several factors, including your skills, experience, and any relevant certifications. As with all market-based ranges, these numbers may evolve over time, but we’re committed to providing a fair and competitive offer based on what you bring to the team.
