This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the organization’s corporate and foundation giving strategies from the ground up. As the Director, you will build and steward high-value relationships with corporate partners and foundation funders, translating mission impact into compelling value propositions. You will design and implement innovative sponsorship programs, manage grant proposals, and oversee the full lifecycle of institutional giving. This position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a highly entrepreneurial environment, giving you the autonomy to create systems, pipelines, and processes that drive measurable revenue growth. Your contributions will have a direct impact on organizational sustainability and the ability to amplify social sector impact nationwide.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive institutional giving program, including corporate sponsorships and foundation grants
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners and foundation funders to support organizational priorities
- Design tailored proposals and sponsorship opportunities that align funder objectives with organizational mission and impact
- Oversee grant and proposal calendars, ensuring timely submissions, reporting, and compliance
- Maintain accurate donor and prospect data in Salesforce, generate reports, and track revenue and engagement goals
- Partner with leadership to set revenue targets, align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities, and represent the organization at external events
- Act as a brand ambassador, championing organizational values and fostering strong internal and external relationships
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or institutional relations, with a proven record of securing and managing five- and six-figure gifts and sponsorships
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building or expanding corporate sponsorship or revenue-generating programs
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proposal development skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and tailored communications
- Strong experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM systems for donor management, analytics, and reporting
- Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, including engagement with senior executives and funders
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is motivated by achieving ambitious revenue goals
- Full-time, remote position (35 hours per week) with flexibility
- Competitive salary range: $87,500 – $111,563 USD
