UMR - Material Handler 2nd shift at SCHLUTER SYSTEMS L.P. – Plattsburgh, New York

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors

• Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance

• Treat quality as a key pillar of our success by always doing the right thing for our customers

• Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member

• Receive incoming goods

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and records location of the inventory

• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders

• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs

• Help in the relief of breaks as needed

• Maintain records and documentation

• Other projects and tasks as assigned

Experience:

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to be certified to operate a forklift
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Sound communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability
• Possess skills required to improvise and adapt where needed
• Represent the company in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner in all matters
• Comply with occupational safety regulations
• Work in shifts and overtime as required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base pay offered will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
