Purpose
The Mediations Operation Specialist II is a primarily remote position in the NY Foreclosure Department and is responsible for various functions including but not limited to: appearance scheduling, calendar management, pre-appearance case preparation, post appearance case processing, loss mitigation submissions, etc. This individual must be able to follow defined procedures within tight deadlines according to client specifications and court requirements.
Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
- Appearance requests, processing and scheduling within our Case Management System, the Client System and Court systems (when applicable).
- Pre-appearance case preparation: review and provide appearing Attorney with pertinent case status, appearance details, and applicable documents prior to the scheduled appearance.
- Post Appearance processing: review results from beginning to end in order to properly update client and case management system; ensure any deadlines or court directives are met and file is staged for appropriate course of action.
- Loss Mitigation Maintenance: request, follow up and collection of loss mitigation documents submitted on behalf of borrowers, tracking requests and efforts for Loss Mitigation in an effective and timely manner
- Works closely with Attorneys, staff and the Court in regard to the Mediation process.
- Timely and thoroughly updates case management and client system as files are worked and in regard to status.
- Assist with other duties and special projects as needed; provides back up support to other team members, follows all quality, safety, and company guidelines to ensure a safe and productive work environment; actively lives the company core values
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Minimum 2 year of foreclosure experience or Bachelor’s Degree
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel) preferred, prior experience in foreclosure processing client systems preferred, previous law firm or loan processing experience preferred.
