TOWN OF NEW CANAAN
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II
In compliance with the Agreement with Local 1303-13 and the Town of New Canaan Article 17.0 and 17.1, the Town of New Canaan, Connecticut seeks qualified candidates for the position of Equipment Operator II to work under the direct supervision of the Highway Superintendent. Position involves the operation of trucks and other heavy equipment such as mowers and sand spreaders; routine manual labor of all types including asphalt, brush cutting and drainage; may supervise a crew of men; makes few personal contacts other than immediate associates.
Desired qualifications: completion of a two-year high school course, three years experience operating light and heavy equipment, CDL license required.
Background investigation and pre-employment physical required. Equal Opportunity employer M/F/D/V. Salary range is $30.19 – $39.30 per hour depending on qualifications.
