Compensation: $40.12 hr. - $56.98 hr.

We provide Rehabilitation Services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, at the main hospital as well as multiple outside outpatient clinics. This full-time outpatient position offers flexible days and hours, time off and reimbursement for CEUs, licensure renewal, and mentorship for new graduates. Position Purpose:
- Evaluates and treats patients using the principles and practices of physical therapy in accordance with the patient's age, developmental level and diagnosis.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates patients, establishes goals and develops individualized treatment plans.
- Provides direct patient treatment based on current physical therapy practice and revises the treatment plan based on the patient's response.
- Provides education to patients and families regarding patient abilities and need for assistance and continued therapeutic intervention.
- Consults with physicians on patient's evaluations, progress, and complications with treatment.
- Maintains medical and departmental records according to department policies and procedures.
- Participate in patient care conferences, department meetings and department and hospital in-service.
- Communicate with other professional staff and patient's family/support system to provide continuity of care.
Lead Responsibilities include:
- Mentor/train new clinicians—documentation system, billing etc.
- Coordinating CEU in-service for our therapy staff
- Coordinate monthly meetings for therapists to stay up to date on best practices and new research
- Stay up to date with billing changes along with OC's regarding therapy services
- Perform chart reviews for therapists
- Review competencies for therapists
- Serve as 2nd Interviewer for clinicians and ancillary staff when necessary
- Provide therapists coverage issues at each site as well as inpatient at SAH.
- Help prepare time sheets for final approval by senior leadership.
- Field any therapy-related questions from physicians, nurses and other therapists.
Be responsible for each Cost Center's (Store) revenue and expenses by monitoring daily and taking the best course of action to maintain goal to be within budget.
General Job requirements:
- Master’s Degree
- Illinois PT license
- CPR Certification
- Experience in an outpatient setting preferred, but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required
- Ability to communicate with staff at all organizational levels
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service skills
