This role is responsible for leading a high-impact engineering organization building an AI-powered engagement platform used by higher education institutions. You will oversee the development of scalable, intelligent systems that support student recruitment, retention, and career readiness outcomes. The position combines deep technical leadership with people management, requiring you to guide engineering teams while shaping product architecture and delivery strategy. You will ensure the platform operates reliably at scale, delivering seamless, always-on, multilingual communication across multiple channels. This is a strategic leadership role where engineering decisions directly influence institutional performance and student success. You will collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to align technical execution with organizational goals. The environment is fast-moving, mission-driven, and focused on building meaningful impact through technology.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and excellence in AI-driven product development
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of the platform, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with roadmap priorities and business objectives
  • Guide architectural decisions and technical strategy, including AI/ML integration, scalable cloud infrastructure, and API-based system design
  • Drive development of omnichannel communication capabilities, ensuring seamless interactions across SMS, email, WhatsApp, and telephony
  • Ensure robust integrations with enterprise campus systems such as SIS, LMS, and CRM platforms
  • Promote operational excellence by improving automation, reducing manual workloads, and enhancing platform efficiency for institutional users
  • Maintain strong security, compliance, and governance standards, including SOC2, FERPA, GDPR, and HIPAA requirements
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, ideally in SaaS, EdTech, or similar technology-driven environments
  • Strong technical background with expertise in system architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, and AI/ML-enabled solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex product delivery cycles in high-scale, distributed systems
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, sales, and operations to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to leverage data, predictive analytics, and real-time insights for decision-making
  • Passion for building technology that improves user outcomes, particularly in education or student success contexts
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
Benefits:
  • Competitive executive-level compensation package
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible and remote-friendly work environment
  • Opportunity to lead impactful AI-driven products in the education sector
  • High ownership role with influence over product and engineering strategy
  • Professional growth in a fast-scaling, mission-driven technology organization
  • Collaborative culture with strong alignment between engineering, product, and business teams
