Position Description: The Sr. Education and Financial Empowerment Manager supports Atlanta Habitat’s mission by developing, managing, evaluating, and implementing empowerment programs for all people served by Atlanta Habitat. The goal of all programs is to ensure that participants have the information and tools needed to succeed with homeownership and to thrive beyond the build.
The Sr. Education and Financial Empowerment Manager is directly responsible for:
- Creating, managing, and developing programs to successfully support program participants to achieve successful homeownership
- Developing objectives for pre-purchase and home purchase classes to capture program outcomes and adjust programming to build successful achievement of outcomes
- Ensuring the relevance of the curriculum to program participants
- Ensuring that classes are scheduled and taught following best practices
- Collaborating with Aging in Place and Engagement and Support team members to offer supportive educational opportunities to the populations we serve
- Developing, managing, and supervising components for the Vison. Goals. Action program
- Managing the financial coaching initiative for home purchase and pre-purchase programs
- Managing and monitoring all communication platforms used by the populations we serve
- Monitoring and preparing home buyers for successful closing
- Acting as back up class facilitator when necessary
- Supervising the program services team
- Monitoring and ensuring data integrity in Salesforce for information related to program requirements
- Ensuring that all program services are well documented with policies and procedures.
- Serving as a member of the Closings and Collections Committee.
Job Conditions:
- The position is full-time, minimum of 40 hours per week. Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays, with regular evening and weekend work required. Flexible schedule and hybrid work options must be worked out with the supervisor and be compliant with Atlanta Habitat’s policies.
- This position is classified as exempt. Some travel in the Metro Atlanta Area required.
- The Sr. Education and Financial Empowerment Manager reports to the VP Homeowner Services and is a member of the Homeowner Services Department. This position is subject to a criminal and credit background check and drug and alcohol testing.
- The Sr. Education and Financial Empowerment Manager is expected to use discretion and independent judgment carrying out his/her responsibilities and represent the organization in a professional, knowledgeable and collegial manner at all times.

Education/Professional Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree, education or social work fields preferred
Experience
- Minimum of five years relevant experience in developing training or education programs for adults.
- One year supervision experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of financial literacy preferred.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and pay attention to details.
- Able to interact well with diverse groups, make public presentations, and manage multiple tasks.
- Requires excellent computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft programs.
- Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
- Database management skills required.
- Knowledge of issues related to home ownership, home maintenance, and community advocacy preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
