Compensation: Starting at $26.54/hour, based on education, experience, certification, and internal equity

What You’ll Do as a Registered Sleep Technician-
Perform diagnostic sleep studies, including polysomnography testing and scoring

Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure comfort, understanding, and cooperation
-
Monitor patients throughout studies and respond promptly to changes in condition
-
Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, dignity, and ethical care
-
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
-
Respond to emergencies and manage critical patient situations when necessary
-
Document patient data and testing results accurately and in a timely manner
-
Follow all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical standards
-
Completion of an accredited program in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field
-
1–3 years of related clinical experience preferred
-
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent required
-
RT/SDS or CRT/SDS certification may be considered
-
Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues
-
Competence in sleep diagnostics and adherence to clinical protocols
-
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment
-
Understanding of the patient care continuum related to sleep disorders
-
Ability to lift and transfer patients up to 30 pounds or more
-
Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and movement throughout shifts
-
Manual dexterity for fine motor tasks and equipment operation
-
Bending, squatting, twisting, and turning required
-
Clear near vision (20 inches or less)
-
Exposure to electrical/mechanical hazards and minimal exposure to bloodborne pathogens
-
Ability to work extended shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
