This is a remote role with significant travel, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while supporting healthcare providers financially.Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary reimbursement expert embedded with the field team, attending strategic sales calls to address complex coding and billing challenges
- Educate sales teams and healthcare partners on coding updates, payer policies, and reimbursement best practices
- Provide guidance throughout the full reimbursement cycle, from pre-service authorization to post-service collection
- Optimize prior authorization workflows and support claims appeals to maximize reimbursement success
- Conduct regular claim reviews with clients and address patient coverage and access questions
- Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to develop educational content and resources
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards while providing expert reimbursement consultation
- 5+ years of experience in medical coding and billing, including government and commercial reimbursement processes
- Deep understanding of CPT, ICD-10, payer policies, prior authorization workflows, and claims appeals
- Proven ability to interpret medical necessity and documentation requirements for successful claim submission
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and act as a consultative partner to sales teams
- Associates degree required; CPC or COC certification preferred, Bachelors degree and cardiology experience a plus
- Willingness to travel 3050% across the United States and work remotely from Florida or relocate
- Competitive base salary range of $90,000$120,000 per year, plus bonus potential
